IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Grimmjow Jaegerjacquez.
Age: Unknown, appears mid to late twenties.
Canon: Bleach.
Canon Point: Chapter 287.
Species: Arrancar; the highest form of Hollow, a nasty spirit.
Gender: Male.
Orientation: Not stated. Grimmjow's philosophy in life is to take whatever he wants. He's too much of a "live-free, die-hard" kind of guy to give much of a shit where he's put. Let's be honest here, really anyone challenging to bag and appealing to the eye is who he'd seek out, if anyone at all. Marriage is a foreign concept, so he'll be alright (read: pissed off) sharing a living space with any gender.

History: Character | World, everyone knows Bleach's premise, right…
Appearance: Usual | Resurrección.
Personality:
Grimmjow is prideful to a fault. His infallible confidence in himself — understandably bolstered by his aptitude for battle, which he's liable to show off for you on any given occasion — is a trait that's displayed fiercely each time it seems like someone is trying to mock his name, his status, or his abilities.

Being looked down on is something he will never tolerate. To him, power is the definition of who he is. Carelessly downplaying his abilities will throw him into a rage, trigger violent streaks meant to put you in your place — below him, as he believes society should be. The manga constantly builds on this aspect by throwing the ever-determined Ichigo at him; one look from the soul reaper is enough for Grimmjow to get the impression that he's being underestimated, a feeling he abhors. Even when Ichigo looks like he's losing, he still has faith that he'll win. Grimmjow expresses his issue with this outright, yelling it near the end of their third fight: "What the hell is with those eyes? You're always like that. No matter how much I beat you, somehow you still think you'll beat me. You think you're stronger than me! I fucking hate that!"

Despite his temper tantrums, when it's the small stuff, he doesn't tend to sweat it. Grimmjow is easy-going when situations don't concern him, even in conversation where a grunt or a short answer might be the only thing you can pry out of him. Where the other Espada seem to put forth some kind of effort to attend meetings regarding Aizen's regime of terror, you can find Grimmjow sitting apart from the group, getting up to leave, or straight-up absent. He's an irreverent individual, all too comfortable with the lack of respect he shows others — he doesn't bother with honorifics, or the names of individuals he's speaking to; he's rude, vulgar, and sarcastic, sometimes adding dark humour to a discussion he's clearly tired with.

Upon receiving a report that Ichigo and company were in the vicinity, he interrupted a meeting by trying to leave. When asked where exactly he was running off to, he simply replied, "To kill them. It's best to crush insects quickly once they've gotten inside, right? It's on Aizen-sama's behalf that I'm gonna go crush them!"

Having a surprisingly honourable heart — not exclusively in battle, but in repaying debts he owes to others as well — at times makes it glaringly blatant that he's not lending his power to Aizen for that man's benefit, but for his own (he even casts aside the subservient way of addressing Aizen when he's out of earshot). He's aggressively individualistic, his whim the only one he cares to follow. His personal interests come first, and he's not about to freely lend a hand to others who may need his help, but when something like saving the captive Orihime presents Grimmjow with a way to absolve the debt he owes her after she healed his arm, he's not going to ignore the opportunity. Though, he's quick to demand something from her in return directly after. "'What are you doing?' Did you think I came here just to save you? How naive. My debt to you has been repaid, so I'm not gonna take any shit. Now you're gonna accompany me on an errand."

Doesn't he sound like the perfect gentleman? Really, he's just painfully blunt, which gets him into more trouble than he'd like with his "superiors". The honesty in his actions, however, is something that proves refreshing several times in the series. Villains, more often than not, use convoluted means to trap the protagonist so they can get some kind of entertainment out of watching them try and suffer. Grimmjow, on the other hand, goes straight for the jugular — he's cunning, a true predator that will attack where he spots an opportunity to do so.

Instinctual nature stemming from the long time he spent in the body of a more panther-like Hollow, he's lived by the kill-or-be-killed mentality. He prefers to lay everything out on the table for his opponents to see, and is straightforward in his approach to every problem. When he jumps the gun, and acts independently in order to take Ichigo and his group down, the words imparted to his teammates were:

"I don't care who they are. If they show even a bit of reiatsu, we just kill them, kill them all."

Abilities:
Grimmjow has minor abilities typical of his species. They're slightly stronger due to the high rank he holds in the army of Arrancar that Aizen conscripted; his power level is sixth out of the ten Espada chosen, and his skills are formidable, giving even his brethren a run for their money. Listed are some of those minor abilities he's demonstrated in the manga:

Sword/hand-to-hand combat mastery. He's spent hundreds of years honing these skills, yet he still prefers hand-to-hand.
Enhanced strength. This speaks for itself, really — your average joe's going to fly pretty far with a direct punch/kick from him.
Hierro. An innate power that stems from his spiritual pressure, giving him tough, steel-like skin that allows him to do things such as block the sharp edge of a sword, or a blast of energy with his bare hands.
Sonido. A flash-step technique that allows Grimmjow to move at startlingly fast speeds, to the point of disappearing momentarily from sight.
Pesquisa. Allows him to detect the spiritual pressure of an individual or a small group from a significant distance away.
Cero. A red beam that can be formed and shot from either of his hands, often seen destroying anything it comes into contact with, whether that be a building or half of a teammate's body.
Gran Rey Cero. A higher form of Cero, and the signature technique of the Espada, activated by mixing his blood with a regular Cero.

When Grimmjow releases his Zanpakutou, Pantera, by using the command grind (referring to the grinding of one's teeth), he's able to unlock the power sealed in his blade. The sword disappears, leaving him in his Resurrección form. He's multiple times stronger than he is when wielding the Zanpakutou, spiritually and physically, shown in a change of outward appearance, making him look more like he had as an Adjuchas-level Hollow before he'd evolved. His base stats (primarily his speed) and minor abilities all receive an augmentation, with the addition of several other powers:

Shockwaves. Grimmjow can roar real loud. To the point where it has the potential to throw off his opponents. Indeed.
Garra de la Pantera. Small bombs that can be shot from his elbow. He can shoot five at once.
Desgarrón. His strongest attack. Long strips of spirit particles form at the tip of each claw, acting like huge blades he can throw at the opponent. He's able to generate ten.

First Person: Have a meme. If it's insufficient, lemme know and I'll cook something up for you.

Third Person:
Deigning to stand with a shinigami — no, a substitute — on equal grounds is a gesture of respect Grimmjow would rather die than convey. It shows in the upward slant of his chin, watching the curling smoke and sand settle metres beneath him. Impassive and motionless, excluding the eyes that search the land below him for his opponent. Every muscle taut; shoulders tense.

This is what he asked for. This lust for battle, for the adrenaline rush and split knuckles. For the wound across his chest, and a blow to his fierce pride. It's inexcusable, not having crushed him when he'd stolen the opportunities to do so. All because of some pathetic interruptions.

Grimmjow catches himself wondering why exactly he's waiting around, not actively searching for his prey, reaching to find reason enough to cross him a fourth time, a fifth time, a sixth— his mind is given no time to answer as the substitute shinigami rises again from what he'd consider a fatal strike. Funny, how he always got up, bloodied and broken, wearing that confident expression. Steeling himself. Pointing those damnable eyes at him, staring up like this body believes he has a chance in hell at winning.

And it boils the blood in his veins. It's fury that rises in his throat like bile, but shrill laughter is the only result.

"Great!" Grimmjow's teeth grind as his mouth twists into a smirk. What better excuse was there? A hollow fighting a shinigami; he was no traditionalist, but there's some ways of life that were never meant to be tampered with. He'd destroy him, devastate him completely. How unlucky for this boy, to have come so far only to be stopped here. Only to die.

"That's a good look, Kurosaki Ichigo, 'cause it really pisses me off!"
